The weight relief, Stress causes cracks. Like a granite tor my face, Just relax it'll leave no trace. And do you think it's helping with all this constant fighting? You're on top of me like a mountain. And I'm wondering now if I'll ever make it out, With just a pinch of what it is I'm all about. And as time went by i wondered, If my attitude was right. But when I finally saw my blunder, It was far too late to fight.

I thought that time was holding on, But time always seems to prove me wrong. I'll be clever then be scratching my head like an itching dog, But time is a bitch and it always seems to clear the fog. And then you'll be there to lead the way, And I'm always grateful but you know that's hard to say, So I'm just gonna say it anyway. So now I'm looking at my life and all the time we've spent together, You've been there from the start and hoping you'll be there forever. But how am I to know, when you finally have to go, If you'll be there to protect me in the final battle?

I'd never have thought that if I could never say, The things that I could see and I wasn't blind. That society had changed in oh so many ways, And the view of the people's always hard to find. In this pH card of views there's so many to adhere, The things that you can do they're not at all. And this country which we live is full of pain and fear, There are so many hurdles at which to fall.
7.
Ambivalence 02:11
I wake up but I never sleep I'm just stuck in one long day dream, I fill my lungs but I can never breathe, I guess things aren't always what they seem. I move my lips but I never speak, the things I planned to say to you earlier this week, I open my eyes but I can't see, The stuff that really matter is usually for free. You know it's funny it'll never be, The thing you always wanted but that's not down to me. You make your own life you say, obviously, But the world owes you nothing that you didn't get for free.
8.
Commodity 03:05
My worth plummeted like gold as if the government didn't want it and instead of digging me up they were burying me, Yes it's a gift but is that really the only part of this you'll see? So I'll soon be moving on and you'll be wondering exactly what 'I'll be'. And so if anyone's got something to say, I think it's me, Because every time I change you're telling me how I'm supposed to be. if anyone's got something to say, I think it's me, Because every time I change you're controlling me like a commodity. So now I'm wondering around thinking how this ever happened and I'm trying to figure out what it's done to you. Because looking back at all this i don't you ever thought it through. But I can't apologize for something that i know I didn't do.
9.
So the time has come and I'm not going on, I can't believe it's still happening. Because the games you play are much more than that to me, And until you see well you're never gonna know me. And recently I've found, you're neither up nor down, but what am I to do when I'm constantly confronted by you? Your views to me are wrong, you just seem to go along, With the shit they feed you at school, but then it tastes so wrong.

about

"You all have so many things going for you – strong songwriting, foot tapping indie rock beats, solid band performances, high energy with a young fresh appearance … keep on!"
- Andrea Young, Aspenbeat Radio

"Trenchard has something going here. I was impressed. This is music I can relate to and the sound of the band is near perfect. The tone of the lead singer and the drum beats are superb."
- Traci Hoffman, Dvldoll Blog

"I always get a little nervous when a band touts their youthful age in their bio, it strikes me as a cheap device to endear themselves before a note has even been struck. Needn’t have worried in the case of Trenchard however as they have the skill and nuance of a musical combo twice their age. True it is ramshackle but that didn’t stop a whole host of C-86 bands from crowding the indie charts way back when. ‘Stubborn’ has a steady build with the disparate instruments threatening to pull the patchwork quilt of sound apart at any given moment. That’s half the charm however and with a singer whose vocals are both odd and compelling you’re left with a unique offering that’ll lift Trenchard beyond the sweating and indistinguishable sound of a thousand other bands."
- Keven Hugger, Music Blogger, Record Label Owner

"A long meandering de-tuned electric guitar lead intro followed by an uptempo, stuck in the garage take on pop music. Recalls the work of great British bands of the last decade such as Good Shoes, The Bridge Gang, and the vocals echo Bloc Party at times. Very catchy and accessible, if not light on production values. Both raw and immediate yet accessible and inherently likeable."
- Leks Maltby, Founder of the Toronto-based indie rock blog Aside/Beside

"There are many things I like about this...The melody is great...It's super catchy...It's a great song...great lyrics...love how the song comes alive later on... It's got amazing potential..."
- ON-AIR HOST, 89.9 KCRW // Desert Nights at The Standard, Hollywood Talent Coordinator
